The GKTECH Solid Aluminium Steering Rack Bushes are a direct replacement of the OEM rubber bushes. Steering racks on cars that are driven hard see high loads and the rubber bushes are just not up to the task.

These aluminium bushes leave no margin for play and are CNC machined from billet aluminium. Besides solid mounting the rack they do also move the steering rack forward a few mm.

NOTE – Due to nature of seating the rack in a different position to OEM and both the subframe and bushes being solid, the bolts may still need to be tightened to close the gap still with the spacer fitted.

How do I know what steering rack I have? The S13/180sx have a larger main body which measures around 48mm O.D, whereas the S14/S15 have a smaller main body which measures around 45mm O.D Is there meant to be a gap between the bracket and the subframe? The bushes are designed to move the rack forward, meaning the bushes are offset causing a difference between the bracket and the subframe. This is also why we offer shims in the kit to take up that gap and ensure the bolt tightens as per usual.
