Link WRX6X Plug-In ECU (Subaru WRX & STI V5-6) - 228-4000

The WRX6X is a G4X plug-in ECU for the Version 5 and 6 Subaru WRX. It mounts in the factory ECU location using the original mounts, loom and connectors with no rewiring or adapter loom, keeps the factory functions and includes a startup map.

It runs Link's G4X platform and adds motorsport functions such as nitrous, launch control, anti-lag and traction control.

Suits: Subaru WRX Version 5 (GC8F, EJ20, 1998-1999) and Version 6 (GC8G, EJ20, 1999-2000). Manual transmission only.

Includes: G4X WRX6X plug-in ECU, anti-static strap, USB tuning cable, Link stickers, plug-in manual card, product registration card.

Notes

• Check that your connector matches the header shown in the photos before ordering.
• An air temperature sensor is highly recommended.
• An expansion loom is required before e-throttle can be used.
• PCB V1.4 onwards has a 4-pin powered CAN connector (protected 12 V and ground, self-resetting 3 A fuse) that does not accept the older CANPCB cable; use the CANJST4 (101-0198).
• Not for use where it would interfere with a vehicle's safety or emission control features. Link recommends installation and setup by an official Link dealer.

A CANJST4 CAN cable (101-0198) for CAN devices, an air temperature sensor such as the IAT1-8 (101-0045), and for e-throttle an expansion loom such as the XS Expansion Loom (101-0106).
